Easter faith, the spiritual health of the NZ church, and the upcoming New Zealand Christian Leader’s Congress

Rev Dr Stuart Lange is the National Director of New Zealand Christian Network, a pastor, and an academic and teacher. He is respected across denominations for his commitment to the faith and unity of the Church in Aotearoa, and for his thoughtful, biblical leadership..

Stuart shared about Easter faith, the spiritual health of the NZ church, and the upcoming New Zealand Christian Leader’s Congress (November). The Congress, which is convened by NZCN, will bring together Christian leaders from across NZ to reflect on some key challenges facing the Church, and togerther to seek God’s wisdom, renewal, and direction. The risen Christ is building His Church—and calls his people to faithful witness in every generation. In planning the Congress, NZCN has identified some areas of concern among church leaders in New Zealand.

Prayer points

1. Pray that the core Easter truths of the Cross and the Resurrection of Jesus may be central to the ongoing message and life of every church, that pastors may faithfully and powerfully preach Christ Crucified and Risen (and all that means), and pray for the spiritual health and vitality of all Christians leaders, and that God may raise up many more

2. Pray that the Holy Spirit may move in and greatly strengthen the New Zealand church, and that our churches may become places of profound faith, an awe of God, prayer, a hunger for God’s word, love for others, and solid discipleship, and that many more Christians may have a heart for sensitive witness and fruitful evangelism among all those in our NZ society who are spiritually lost

3. Pray for the New Zealand Christian Leaders’ Congress taking place in Wellington (17-18 Nov): that a good number of Christian leaders from across many churches may register, that we may correctly discern the crucial topics to concentrate on, that the Lord may guide us as we identify and confirm presenters and panelists, that all who come may be stirred and strengthened, and that good initiatives and collaborations may arise out of the Congress
