Cross Walk for Hope NZ
My name is Riaan Möller. I am a follower of Jesus, husband to Linda, father, grandfather, and a construction project manager with a degree in Theology. I minister in Auckland max prison as a volunteer chaplain and I am currently undertaking Cross Walk for Hope NZ, a prayer pilgrimage from Auckland to Slope Point, carrying a cross over approximately 1,630 kilometres across New Zealand. The walk is a public witness to the hope found in Jesus Christ and carries the message, “You Are Not Alone.” Along the journey I meet people from every walk of life, listening to their stories, praying with them, sharing the Gospel, and encouraging those who are facing loneliness, mental health challenges, cancer, family violence, grief, and other burdens. My prayer is that this journey will call the Church to renewed compassion, prayer, evangelism, and unity, while pointing people to the only true hope found in Christ.
Prayer Points
1) Pray that Christ will be glorified in every conversation and that many hearts will be opened to receive the Gospel.
2) Pray for God’s protection, strength, health, and endurance as I continue the remaining distance of the journey.
3) Pray for divine appointments each day with people whom God is preparing to encounter His love and truth.
4) Pray for my wife, Linda, my sister Louisa, our family, and those supporting the walk, that they would be encouraged, protected, and strengthened.
5) Pray that the Church in New Zealand would be stirred to greater unity, compassion, prayer, and boldness in proclaiming the Gospel.
6) Pray that those carrying heavy burdens—including those affected by cancer, mental illness, family violence, loneliness, and hopelessness—would encounter the peace, healing, and hope of Jesus Christ.
