In 1897 Reverend James Mackenzie of Nelson gained permission from his local school committee to present a non-denominational Bible programme before the official start of the school day. That became highly successful.
Throughout the decades we have been referred by several names, the most common of which are still used to day, namely ‘Bible’ or ‘Bible in schools’.
Today, we present our ‘Launchpad Champions’ Christian Values programme in primary school communities across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our trained Wellbeing Mentors/Chaplains partner with local schools to come alongside students to support their wellbeing. The school years are more challenging now, in the 2020s, than ever before. Wellbeing mentors support emotionally, socially and mentally, it is vital for the health of our students.
Our tag line, “hei tautoko whakaora ki ngā kura”, means “wellbeing support for schools”.

Seasons for Growth is an 8-week programme for children, young people or adults who have experienced grief or loss. Programme sessions are run in small groups of up to 8 students and last between 45 minutes to one hour, depending on the age group. As an evidence-based and highly regarded programme, Seasons for Growth has a unique and important role to play in supporting mental health within the school community.
