Our Daily Bread Ministries
The mission of Our Daily Bread Ministries is simple: to make the life-changing wisdom of the Bible understandable and accessible to all. We long to see people engaging with the Bible each day and growing to be more like Christ. What began in the 1930’s as a small radio has since grown into a ministry serving people in over 150 countries in over 60 languages. Today, we produce and distribute print devotionals, books, and Bible studies, along with videos, podcasts, social medias and articles.
In Aotearoa New Zealand, we distribute Bible engagement resources to individuals and churches across the country—from seekers to disciple-makers. Through mailed devotionals, Bible resources, and hosting church events, we help people encounter Christ in Scripture each day. We also partner with prison ministries, rest homes, and chaplains serving in different contexts, supporting people in need to be strengthened and encouraged by the Word of God. Thanks to the generous giving and prayers of our supporters, we are able to provide all our resources free of charge.

Prayer points
1. A deeper hunger for God’s Word in Aotearoa
Pray that people across New Zealand would not only have access to the Bible, but would grow to love God’s Word, engage with it daily, and be shaped by its truth.
2. Trust in the power and relevance of Scripture in the digital and AI age
Pray that the church in Aotearoa would remain confident that God’s Word is still living, powerful, and deeply relevant for our generation in the digital and AI age.
3. Rediscovering God’s Word in a Distracted Age
Pray for wisdom as we navigate a social-media-driven age that often distracts people from Scripture. May God guide us to develop resources that help people rediscover the beauty and authority of His Word.
4. Relevant resources for our multicultural nation
Pray that God would guide us to develop Bible engagement resources that serve the diverse cultures and languages across Aotearoa.
5. Partnerships across Aotearoa
Pray that God would continue to open doors for partnerships with churches, prison ministries, chaplains, and Christian organizations across Aotearoa, so that more people can be strengthened by the Word of God.
6. Prayer for our growing involvement in prison ministry across Aotearoa
We have already seen God stirring a deep hunger for His Word among many inmates. Pray that He would continue to lead us to take part in the work He is doing in prisons and open doors for more spiritual resources to reach those inside.
