Paul Cornish shares a message about God’s Presence. He will give us a brief biblical snapshot of the priority God gives to being present in the midst of his people. Building on this, he will encourage us to pray for an increasing recognition and honour of the presence of God in our lives, our churches, our cities and in our nation.

PRAYER POINTS:

  1. “The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” Allow the Holy Spirit to convict you of any area where you are not fully committed to him. Confess and receive his cleansing from anything that has substituted for his presence or grieved him. Take responsibility for the truth that revival begins with me and my deepening awareness of his faithful and powerful presence.
  2. Pray for the church. As Jesus wept for Jerusalem – that the pain and cries of our cities and towns will move our hearts as deeply as his heart is moved. He longs for us to partner with Him in bringing hope into our cities. He is the answer to all the problems and pain, and His presence manifesting through his people in our cities will make all the difference.
  3. Declare and pray for God’s presence to manifest with increasing and undeniable power whenever and wherever people gather to worship and pray. Ask that unbelievers would be drawn to the presence of God and be convicted of sin, righteousness and judgement.
  4. Give thanks that God is turning the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers in our nation. Declare the blood of Jesus over our nation and the Lord’s rebuke of the orphan spirit that leads many into unbelief and rebellion. Bless all fathers and all those seeking to give identity, belonging, security and provision to the broken and the hurting in our society
