The Christian Churches of NZ Unified, to the Glory of God

When Israel returned from 70 years in Babylonian exile, they immediately set about rebuilding their own paneled houses. Meanwhile, the Temple of God lay in ruins. What if this is an ancient metaphor that reveals a significant cause of the decline in NZ Christian churches, and Christianity generally, in our nation today? What if we’ve been so busy building strong denominations, that we’ve allowed the Temple to fall into disrepair and ruin?

Ps. Nigel Irwin from MoveNZ.org lays a strong case for this. Weaving together passages from Haggai, 2 Chronicles, 1 Corinthians, and John, Ps. Nigel exhorts Christian leaders across the nation to pitch in and work for unity – for the sake of the Gospel, the Kingdom, and God’s glory on earth.
