Family First

Since 2006, Family First NZ has been a strong advocate for families, championing principles that have benefited New Zealanders for generations. As a leading pro-family and pro-life voice, Family First has played a key role in major public policy debates including opposition to the anti-smacking law, the redefinition of marriage, the liberalisation of abortion laws, and the recent cannabis and euthanasia referendums. In addition to its advocacy work, Family First NZ is dedicated to providing research and education to support families.

Ken Buist is Family First’s Director of Marketing and Social Media. He is also on the Executive Leadership team for the NZ National March For Life. Ken has a career background in advertising and marketing, having previously worked for leading advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi. Ken initially joined Family First as Lead Strategist and Campaign Manager for the successful Say Nope To Dope campaign – the only major campaign opposing the legalisation of recreational cannabis in 2020 (there were 10 registered pro-cannabis campaigns promoting the legalisation of marijuana). Ken has also led other Family First campaigns, one gaining 87,000 signatures opposing the Ardern Government’s Covid mandates (Family First proposed rapid antigen testing as a practical means to allow non-vaccinated Kiwis to protect their employment). Ken regularly attends Life Church in Auckland.

Voice for Life

Voice for Life is dedicated to building a culture where human life is valued and respected from conception to natural death.

Voice for Life is New Zealand’s oldest and largest pro-life organisation. We have a national leadership team as well as regional Voice for Life groups all over the country. For more than 50 years, our members have been committed to peaceful and creative advocacy on behalf of the most vulnerable and voiceless members of our society. We promote sensible, research-based solutions to these issues, knowing that this is a long-term effort that can be reached by incremental changes with widespread public support.
Our vision is for a future New Zealand society where acts of abortion and euthanasia are unthinkable and unnecessary.

Prayer Points:

May thousands of people come out and participate in March For Life – Saturday 7th March, Auckland

May the Lord raise up more Christian politicians who will be active in protecting the life of babies in the womb

May we see positive changes to our currently extreme pro-abortion laws – especially a change in the clause which prevents any intervention and care for babies born alive due to a botched abortion (something which happens more often than we are led to believe – Ministry of Health data proves this)

May we see a cultural shift and political change which supports pro-life and motherhood.
